Glastonbury Seedy Saturday March 10th

Save those spare seeds and bring them along to our Seedy Saturday swap. The event will run from 1.30 to 4pm, at the United Reformed Church hall on the High Street and you are welcome to come along at any time.
There will be a talk on successful seed sowing by Colum Pawson from Torganics from 2pm to 2.30, followed by an informal questions session to make sure you know how to get the best from your seeds.

Tea and homemade cakes will be available for sale throughout the afternoon. There will also be information stalls courtesy of Transition Glastonbury and Somerset Community Food.

If you'd like to donate seeds or can't make it to the swap, seeds can be left at the Transition Glastonbury office at Heriz Payne (above the Artisan deli, entrance first door on the right on Archers Way) on any Tuesday between 12 and 2pm before the swap, or even dropped through their letterbox (suitably packaged and labelled, please) if you can't make it on a Tuesday.

So put the date in your diary (G3 will send a reminder email before the swap) and start getting out your saved seeds to make sure we all have a bumper gardening year. We especially welcome self-saved seeds, labelled with as much information as you think their new owners might need, or parcel up what you don't need from your bought seeds, and come along and get something marvelous in exchange.
