Calling all potential Master Gardeners of Somerset!

Are you interested in becoming a volunteer Master Gardener? Supporting others to know their beans from their peas? Or are you new to growing and would like some more long term one-to-one support?

Part of Somerset Community Food's recent successful lottery bid is to explore the potential of establishing a growing mentor scheme in Somerset. We've had lots of feedback that one-off courses just don't bite the bullet & that more regular support is needed to get the knack of growing you are own food.

Therefore we are really pleased to announce that Phillip Turvil from Garden Organic's Master Gardener's Programme will be coming down to Somerset to fill us in on how his project has supported over 30,000 people to grow their own food since May 2010.

For more information about the project check out: http://mastergardeners.org.ukor get your chance to learn more at the Incredible Edible Somerset Summer Conference on Saturday 14th July. Booking is essential, with subsidised places available, so get your booking in now! http://www.somersetcommunityfood.org.uk/index.php?page=summer-confe...
