You may want to look at this, something about the EU proposing to ban (or at least make impossibly bureaucratic and expensive) seed saving, swaps, heritage varieties etc. Source is Germany, so probably not UKIP scaremongering or Defra scapegoating this time. http://www.seed-sovereignty.org/EN/
