Event Description

Glastonbury Harvest Show 2013 - Get involved!
Glastonbury Harvest Show highlights the importance of local food & community, and celebrates the joy & benefits of growing your own produce.

It is in its seventh year and takes place annually at Glastonbury Town Hall.

The date of the next Harvest Show is Saturday 15th September 2013.

What will be taking place?

Practical workshops, including Everyone can grow! Food growing for beginners from 1-2pm.
There will be a walking tour of edible private & community gardens around Glastonbury starting at 10:15am at the Town Hall, as part of the Incredible Edible Somerset Open Gardens.
Members of Glastonbury Country Market will provide homemade refreshments all day including lunchtime
snacks of pasties, pizza & quiche, plus cakes and cookies.
There will be crafts & fun activities for kids.
There will be stalls selling local produce and displaying information about local food projects.
Somerset Master Gardeners will be available for all your Q&As.
Films will be showing on-loop throughout the day, featuring inspiring community food projects in Somerset.
There is also poetry throughout the day.
At 3pm there will be cream teas (incl. vegan) & a fantastic auction will be taking place selling the prizewinning entries from the show.
